We've knocked the dust off and tidied up a bit. Welcome to the new Tengusanji website. We've simplified our pages, updated to a modern design and are now mobile device friendly. New camp photos have been added to our Images. We've transferred our message forum from yahoo to Google Groups. And we'll have our Facebook Group up and running shortly. If you are an established member of our group, and have not yet joined the contact groups, please make sure you get connected. Pennsic is around the corner and the chatter will soon begin. If you are interested in joining our group or camping with us at Pennsic, please contact us via email.
This weekend members of Tengusanji and friends gathered to learn and construct Japanese garments. Many of our members are of different personas, but like to show their support and dress in our native clothing for the annual Bon Festival during Pennsic War. With the help of our resident Miko and costume designer, Yamamura Kitsune, the group got a good jump start on their garments. More Images A general reminder of upcoming dates:
Tengusanji will have a project day on July 3rd, 2010 from NOON to whenever. With the help of Yamamura Kitsune-sensei, we will be discussing and constructing Japanese garments mainly for use during this upcoming Pennsic. Along with July 3rd, Kitsune will be available during the Shire of Foxvale’s A&S nights to consult and work with others on finishing their garments. Tengusanji“Tengu Mountain Temple” is a camp and household within the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). Compiled of members from the Middle Kingdom (Midrealm) and the East Kingdom. Many of our members portray Japanese personas, but not a requirement. Our friendships and love of Nihon is our bond.
